It's always the little things -- or in this case, not so little -- that make life fun. 12 Terabytes attached to my iMac. Check. Validated and ready to roll? Check.

Right now, 4x 3 Terabyte drives (Amazon special) running RAID 0 through multiple USB connections via a program called SoftRAID. Just waiting on Drobo to finish up the new drivers to enable 3tb drives on their system and I'll have redundancy.

I've got 17tb total hooked up to the system now.
 
are going to make movies with all that storage???
 
Dunno what I'm going to do with it, simply know that the 4tb array I have is running out of space. I needed more, and it was relatively cheap.

Currently, it's only USB 2, but when Drobo gets their bleep together, I'll drop the drives in it and it'll be Firewire 800. My iMac doesn't support USB 3 or Thunderbolt.
 
I love the 'Thunderbolt' tag.

In a couple of decades, that name will have serious kitsch value.
