19 Suspects Arrested

In 2 stories, the New York Times fails to explain what made this Houston area story a national controversy:

First Story
Vicious Assault Shakes Texas Town

If a juvenile is improperly supervised by neglectful parents, the rapist are the victims?

The 2nd story
3-Month Nightmare Emerges in Rape Inquiry

"The 11 year old victim was tall for her age and wanted to be a fashion model." Blame the victim??

If you're wondering why the New York Times is attempting such a nuanced position, it's due to some facts the NY Times' purposely leaves out of its stories.

19 Suspects Arrested

New Black Panther leader, Quannell X is claiming racial bias in the case.

When the facts about the prior records of the suspects are placed in context, it becomes a story about the unfortunate consequences of leniency in the criminal justice system.

Two suspects were out on bond awaiting trial on other charges at the time, while a third suspect was on probation and a fourth has since been arrested for robbery. Court documents show that four more of the 19 rape suspects have records involving other felonies, including accusations of rape and manslaughter, and that the home where prosecutors say the girl was victimized was owned by a registered sex offender whose son and nephew are among those charged in the case.

The girl (Hispanic) has been removed from the custody of her parents. The girl has been moved away from the area, due to death threats.

Yup, that's what you get when pot smoking hippies and the liberal media have their way. Disgusting isn't it?
