Add on via USB for extra expense.Glaucus said:I don't think it has a camera.
I'd want something like this to have BlueTooth and be allowed as VoIPI'm also not sure how you could use it as a phone.
Zune! Better quality output than any iPod device. But, like any iPod you should get 3rd party headphones. I love my poop brown Zune 30 and would take it any day over the wife's ex-iPod. She switched to a pink 8MB Zune last year. She likes the software MUCH better than the iTunes stuff.Nah, I'm still thinking the PSP 3000 is the way to go for hand held non-phones or maybe the new Zune HD for music (I'd buy one in a snap if it had DLNA support).

Yep, 5 MPixel
Probably also has blue tooth so why not get a head set then skype?
Wayne said:Sadly that was pre-release hype. No mention of a camera anywhere on it, including apple.com, so that's probably the death of the idea for me. Would have been great to Vodcast from it.
My gf has a cherry red Zune80. I really like it and she prefers it over the iPod she had before. The ZuneHD looks really slick, much nicer then the iPod - which I think is starting to look dated. Only real downside is the lack of accessories. For instance, to hook up the Zune to my Alpine deck I need to use a simple stereo headpone jack and set the deck to aux in, then press play on the Zune. If I had an iPod I could instead use the iPod adapter which would allow me to use the Alpine deck to play any song on the iPod.faethor said:Zune! Better quality output than any iPod device. I wished it'd break so I could get a ZuneHD. Though it sounds like Windows Mobile 7 may have a Zune enterainment option. Being my phone and Zune work I can wait a year to see what the result is.
Yes, but we're talking two different things. I have an Eye-Fi card so I couldn't care less about CONNECTING the camera.faethor said:Wayne said:Sadly that was pre-release hype. iPad Camera Connection Kit
The Camera Connection Kit gives you two ways to import photos and videos from a digital camera. The Camera Connector lets you import your photos and videos to iPad using the camera’s USB cable. Or you can use the SD Card Reader to import photos and videos directly from the camera’s SD card.
You just need a new Ford with Sync. More seriously I have an Alpine deck . The method you describe is correct. It is a plus the iPod controls are built into the deck, even if they charge you $5000 for a stupid cable. (Okay it's not that much but it should be $2 at most)Glaucus said:For instance, to hook up the Zune to my Alpine deck I need to use a simple stereo headpone jack and set the deck to aux in, then press play on the Zune. There are two bigger problems, IMO. First it apparently won't multistask. You can't download in the background while you use another application. Really? This is the 21st Century. This alone makes me choose the multitasking friendly Windows 7 HP Slate.Wayne said:Yes, but we're talking two different things. I want -- like all other macs (except the pro) -- the built in web camera that they SHOULD have built into it.. (as I shake my fist and scream DAMMIT! in Steve Jobs' direction)
