I just finished a Masters degree in September and only had to pay around a quarter of the fees (£1250 from £4500) as the Scottish "government" picked up the rest of the tab.
If you're taking an Honours/Sandwich/Ordinary/etc. degree, providing it's your first, they pick up the whole tab.
