Titans 86 year old owner Bud Adams' finger incident

It is funny as hell. How often is it you see 86 y/o billionaire franchise owners acting like this?

I just assume they all do.

You are just saying that because you hate all wealthy people

The NFL is known as the (N)o (F)un (L)league for a reason. It goes to great lengths to fine players for even simple silly things. This is the first time afaik that an owner, let alone an 86 y/o owner, has pulled such a stunt. To make things worse, the NFL commisioner was at the game and had just left the sky box. Bud Adams gets a 1/4 million $$$ fine.

There is a back story here, for those interested in the NFL. Bud Adamas (86 y/o, TN Titans, previously Huston Oilers owner) and Ralph Wilson (91 y/o Buffalo Bills owner) were both AFL owners before the NFL merger. They have a long rivalry, at their age about as long as you can have!

Channeled aggression and keen competitiveness, seeing things in terms of winning and losing and hating to lose are key traits of wealthy people. It's hard to become wealthy without those traits.

Having those traits also make you more likely to be an a$$hole. That's all.

It's those very traits that also put humans on top of the food chain.

Hey, somebody's gotta be the asshole and it might as well be me. Now if only I could be rich too!

The fine is 0.02% of his net worth. The equivalent fine for a fellow like me is about $230. That's about what Bud soaked every household in Houston for when he got them to pay for renovations to the stadium when the Titans (formerly known as the Oilers) were there.
