A little after the fact now since it's been passed but this is the sort of mentality we see from our "Conservatives" - waste and ideology. We have a government to direct our resources to the things we need yet somehow we got these clowns in office and they don't give a crap about what we need. They are getting their instructions from somewhere else.

Wow, things must be pretty desperate if they're asking us to contact the Canadian Senate. That's a first! But first, we should probably send someone to wake them up and make sure they have a pulse!

But ya, this new crime bill is garbage. Only really old people who are scared of teenagers could possibly support this crap. Of course I hope the senate stops this, but even if they do, all that will mean is that Harper will fast track his wet dream of senate reform - and you know how that's gonna pan out.

Erm ... as I said it's a little after the fact now. The senate passed it. Only one Tory senator voted against party lines. What we need now is something to develop out of the robocalling scandal and get a few by-elections going in close ridings - start chipping away and putting the fear into the Tories. Or better yet get them out.

Ah, sorry. I read what you said as: it was passed by Parliament, which in Canada means it's a done deal even before the Senate looks at it. In that context the video made sense. Too bad I was wrong. :(

Or even better, have one of them point the finger at Harper himself. As for the by-elections, yes, that would be nice. The results from Toronto-Danforth (Layton's old riding) showed a decrease for Conservative votes. Of course, that may only be because they didn't put their entire PR machine behind their candidate, but who knows. It may also be a sign that people are already sick of them.
