Won't happen. People are just glad that they can get on the plane knowing that they won't be killed by some disabled kids 'Lamby' exploding their flight. So long as only 'other people' are getting harassed people will gladly accept it. In fact, I think if the TSA just took random people out of line from time to time and shot them on the spot the majority of people would be able to tell themselves that the person deserved it and no price is too high to keep them safe.
 
I think there needs to be a balance between security and freedom. And no, I don't think people would accept random executions. Most people accept harassment because it's far better than being blown to bits. Like I said before, I'd be more than happy to have a designated airline that is completely exempt from security checks. Only fools would take it and eventually they'd get their Darwin awards.

I agree that would be foolish. It wouldn't just be "terrorists" that would want such an airline to fail. Other airlines and the TSA itself would be gunning for it.
 
Btw, this story is a good example where the TSA screwed up, and I'm not sure if this was all done according to policy or just one agents bad judgment. Irregardless, one thing that is policy is to avoid any form of profiling. That means we don't pull aside Arabs for extra screening - and I agree with that. But it has to work the other way as well - we must pull aside people who we'd otherwise consider at zero risk.
 
the entire reason airline ticket prices have gone thru the roof is largely due to rising healthcare costs... apparently no one will give a prostate exam for free.... :D
 
the reason we "have" to do this; is because we are slaughtering children in third world countries so we can rape them of their natural resources in the name of our national security....
