The U.S. government has signed an agreement with Saudi Arabia to sell nearly $30 billion worth of F-15 combat jets, according to a statement released Thursday by the Obama administration.

What? The Saudis didn't want F 22s ?

Oh well, I guess since they are allies it's best to sell them stuff that works.
 
Probably why they didn't buy Eurofighter. The lead time for replacement bits is ludicrous.

After all that bribery on BAE's part for nothing...
 
Oh yes. There was even an official enquiry going on that members of parliament put the kibosh to on the basis of those bribes.

This would have been around 8 months or so ago iirc.
