Well, I have been sitting by with front row seats for this one for quite a while. The UAW GM strike. The two sides remain miles apart. Now that GM is somewhat healthier, the UAW wants to end a lot of the concessions they made back when GM was on the brink of bankruptcy. And GM sees the storm on the horizon, and wants to bring their overall labor costs closer to those of the non-US automakers.
It seems that the false pretenses that they "are close" to a bargain have been dropped over the past weekend.
I have a lot of opinions on it I'll share later, but I'm kind of curious how it's being viewed by outsiders. Who is in the right? Who is going to win? Will there be any winners at all?
