Jeremy Corbyn, despite desperate attempts by the party bosses to stop him, including stripping the right to vote from large numbers of party members, has trounced all opposition and won the Labour party leadership race with almost 60% of the vote.
While he clearly has a good deal of political support for his policies (among the ruled classes, of course) it is also quite clear that he will have enemies among the class of people worried about whether they will get to keep all the stuff they stole. It's not that the smear campaign has just begun - it was already ongoing but has so far failed. It's just interesting to watch who the mud slingers are and what mud they sling rather than addressing Corbyn's policies.
