UK not completely beyond hope

I'm curious to know just what horse trading had been done to make this happen. I wonder if the recent decision to hand over (fnar!) Abu Hamza had anything to do with it.

Originally the cps said there was no case to answer, will be interesting to see if that remains the case. Another thing I saw somewhere was a suggestion that the extradition law may now come under review. But time will tell on that one.

Pretty much exactly what the cps said when they looked at the case. Sadly they didn't reckon on the embarrassment of the US military coupled with the faux outrage of hawkish politicians.
