all the benefits of Socialism.

Remember, it's not really your money. Everything belongs to the state, they will give back to each, his needs.

It's looking good McDeath. Ready to move back?

The data collection and storage argument sounds like a red herring to me. The government already collects and stores this data so they can tell you if you filled in your tax form correctly. In fact, in Canada there is a short form of tax return (or at least the last time I filled one out myself) where you just tick the "let the Revenue Canada calculate the return" and they do a pretty good job. In fact they were always sending me back bigger cheques than I ever claimed when I was working the boxes myself.

The privacy concerns due to large centralized data is also a red herring since if we were to tear down such things then the credit card companies couldn't run and nor could many retail chains. Vast databases are already in private hands with no oversight and we don't hear a lot of complaints about that except from lefties.

As a proposal it has the potential to save the government a really large amount of money. Tax collection eats up a considerable amount of what it collects. Anything to streamline the process should be a benefit to the tax payer.

However, I could see how large corporations would be against it. Playing the time between when the tax is deducted from the employees cheque to the time the tax is actually paid to the government, companies can use that interval as a free loan and use the employees tax money to save on interest or make a little on the side from investments. Large companies with many employees would really miss these considerable temporary slush funds.

There's some Christine O'Donnell, Tea Party Candidate, video from the 90s available. She was speaking on Bill Mahrer's Politically Incorrect. Al Franken was on there too. It's amazing to see how socialist she is. She supported government funding sex education if that sex education only taught abstience, for one example.

Nothing could be more socialistic than Republicans deciding how my children should personally live their lives and funding education to make sure they are ill informed.
