What do you all make of this?

Pretty much what I've known for quite some time, I mean, you wouldn't stick your head in a microwave would you? I tend to keep mobile phone usage to a minimum, and only have my phone in my back pocket when I'm out and about, otherwise it's sitting well away from me.

i'd like to see actual experiments on this but....seriously, what idiot puts their phone in their bra??

The first question should be what type of energy or radiation is being released from cellphones. Since it's Cellular it's close to the FM spectrum. You know AM/FM which we are all bathed in for our entire lives. It's not the high energy X-Ray. Why is this important? FM/AM, and cellular, cannot break DNA. So, if cancer is being caused it's not in the typical way that we know radiation to cause cancer.

I think the other thing to look at is brain cancer rates. We know that cellphone use is up across every age group. If these devices are causing cellphones we should see an increase of brain cancers. Along with that some statistican should be able to define that mathematical correlation. What seems to be happening, in the USA, is a slight downtick of brain cancer.

"Using statistical models for analysis, rates for new brain and other nervous system cancer cases have been falling on average 0.2% each year over the last 10 years" Now overlay this with the increase of cellphones and the increase in minutes of use of cellphones. What you'll find is statistically there is no correlation. *

*Now the one thing I'll give is we don't know all causes. Perhaps we've somehow removed the majority of other causes from our environment so Cellphones are now the majority cause? The difficulty here is we haven't identified each cause and can't sufficiently say. *

This isn't to say that Cellphones are prefect. Instead what is strongly indicated is Cellphones produce no net increased risk across the population. People are, of course, different. Some people smoke cigs like a chimney and never get cancer. Some people are riddled with cancer. What we as a society need to consider is the net impact to society. In the case of cellphones there's no strong relationship indicating they are a danger.

people have been bitching about this since the 90's....there's still no proof phones do anything more than help annoying people be more annoying.

and what about the bra deal?? :D

Oh ya, almost forgot you can actually call people with cell phones.
