unvaccinated children are a danger to public health

In 1991 about 19 people came down with Measles. The research has been done to identify patient 0. An unvaccinated child that was exposed abroad and brought the virus home.

Out of the 19 people - 16 were unvaccinated. The other 3 were vaccinated. The report didn't indicate how they were vaccinated. So, it leaves to question why those 3 were not protected. As we know no vaccine is perfect. Though we can use the information here to do a bit of guestimating. It's estimated that this group exposed over 3,000 other people to Measles. In 1991, Minnesota was above a 90% Measles vaccination rate. So 100 - (3/(3,000*.90) x 100 ) = 99.89%.

Now, of course, this sample size is fairly small. So the next time anti-vaccers tells you how Measles vaccine does not work, you can be confident that what they spew is bunk.

a/k/a "illegal immigrant"

US cases of leprosy, measles, TB, scabies, ... can all be all traced to illegal immigrants, listed in medical literature as "recent foreign born" patients
 
While you desired to wall the USA off from the rest of the world like some inverse Soviet State do realize that diseases don't care about a green card.

I think the obvious answer is that those kids should be vaccinated. So who's stopping them?
