USPS posts $3.1 billion loss in Q3, warns of default

One more example of a union killing a business. It wasn't long ago that liberals were pointing out the USPS as a model example. Unions have created mostly a lazy workforce that is far overpaid and the unions make it nearly impossible to reprimand or fire dead weight. This is fatal poison to any business.

Internet has nothing to do with it?

The ability to pay wages that match the market? The ability to reprimand lazy employees and fire ones who are not productive? The ability to downsize to levels that would be profitable?

No, the internet has nothing to do with that.

The ability to pay wages that match the market?
If everyone were unionized the market would be a different market. If people weren't mortgaged to the hilt and lived with the threat of becoming homeless, if they weren't loaded up with student loan debt, if they felt that they didn't need to work so much - it would be a different market. The market isn't just a thing that takes care of itself. The market is constructed by powerful people to benefit themselves (just as laws are). The elites who understand it and run it and nurture it will keep pushing it to suck the life out of everyone else because that's what the ruling classes do. They can't help but be greedy and besides, once all the people are struggling to get by they won't have enough time to study the problem and organize a resistance. The devil finds work for idle hands so no-one must be allowed to be idle. Work them hard all day and leave them only enough money for cable. That is the end game.

It is just not true to keep blaming the "markets", markets are manipulated.
