The University of Virginia, like most Universities, has a non-discrimination policy. One can't be discriminated against on the basis of religion, color, age, disability, veteran status or sexual orientation.
Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli says Virginia’s colleges and universities cannot prohibit discrimination against gays because the General Assembly has not authorized them to do so. The Republican Gov. backed him up. LINK
