ACORN has been in the news for passing on fraudulent voter registrations that it was required by law to pass on, but that its own auditors had flagged as likely fraudulent - and the workers who were the source of the fraud were dealt with.

On the other hand, the owner of YPM has been arrested for voter registration fraud as has already been mentioned in another thread here I believe.

His little scam involved running a pretend petition that ended up registering people as Republicans. This scam was paid for by the California Republican Party.

YPM owner Mark Anthony Jacoby not only owns the company that committed this scam, but he also fraudulently registered to vote in California where he no longer resides ... TWICE, but was also previously involved in another petition sign up voter scam in Massachusetts in 2005.

Now it appears that John McCain's campaign has paid $175,000 to another dirty trickster with a long history. Nathan Sproul is the managing partner of Lincoln Strategy, and he has a history of unsavoury electoral practices.

e.g.
The career of Mr Sproul, a former leader of the Arizona Republican Party, is littered with accusations of foul play. In Minnesota in 2004, his firm was accused of sacking workers who submitted Democratic registration forms, while other canvassers were allegedly paid bonuses for registering Bush voters. There were similar charges in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Oregon and Nevada.

Those who live in glass houses ....

Indiana GOP loses

Republicans argued that because the Lake Co. Board of Elections had not approved the three additional early voting centers by a unanimous vote, the county could not open them. In her ruling, Kavadias-Schneider writes that such "technicalities" should not obstruct the fundamental right to vote
