Wake up everyone - it's 2016!!!

This place has been terribly sleepy over Christmas (and comatose last night due to technical difficulties it seems), but it's 2016 and time to come out of hibernation.

So .... Christmas was eat a lot, drink a lot and visit family. New Years Eve was eat a lot and drink a lot. New Years day was a quick swim in the sea.

I was away from Christmas eve until January 2nd on a European road trip so today is the first time I've logged in here since the 23rd.

fortunately, Christmas was entirely uneventful. And by that I mean no one went to the hospital. Unlike the last several years.

For which i am completely grateful.

for the last several days I've had a cold - which is obnoxious - but at least that's all it is
