It's a class difference. The investing classes are not hurting any more - their investments are doing OK. They simply cannot relate the the working classes (the the not-working classes as many of them have become). It's exactly the same as the way Herman Cain thinks that the current unemployment rate is not the fault of Wall Street, but the fault of the unemployed.

I like a lot of what I hear from Herman Cain, but also a lot I don't like. "Just get a job, stupid!" works for me during normal economic times. We are not in normal economic times, not by a long shot. I think Herman's time in the Fed has clouded his mind or compromised his integrity. Herman bashed Ron Paul and blew hot air up the Fed's ass, he is not for me.
