Romney is telling and retelling a lie in Ohio that everyone in Ohio knows is a lie.

So why is he doing it? It's not going to win him many converts in Ohio, is it? Then again - Ohio isn't the rest of the country. When the vote machines tell the world that Romney won Ohio then he has a plausible killer last minute pitch to point to about what turned the state. Then nobody needs to talk about the other things that went on.
