At this moment, Hurricane Irene poses a risk to almost everyone living along the Eastern Seaboard, from Florida to the Canadian Maritimes. Where will Irene track? Which communities will be affected and how badly? Millions of lives and billions of dollars are at stake in decisions made by forecasters, emergency managers and all of us who live in or own property in harm's way.

Every year as soon as any sort of storm gets close, even though the track is obviously not going to hit the area, the local news gets hysterical and reports live from home depot showing people loading generators and wood. This year it seems they heard the criticism and finally made a change.

This year they are reporting from the front of Lowes:rolleyes:

Probably the same group of "scientist" that are mongering man made global warming. I've seen them blow too many 1-3 day guess on where Hurricanes will be going and have little faith in their reports.

Too many damn butterflies flapping their wings.
