That's pretty ridiculous. Gadhafi must be killed because of a communications satellite? I see no reason why Africa having a communication satellite would cause problems, especially since they'll need Europeans or Americans or Russians or Chinese or Indians to build it and send it to space. But aside from that, the reason this is all a huge load of horse shit is that Africa already has satellites!

Gold Dinar was definitely a serious threat to both the US and Europe (and to China perhaps but China makes a lot of things that people want so they would be able to sell to Africa to get the gold to buy African oil).I like the gold Dinar conspiracy theory more.
Unless the US could come up with something else Africa needs other than green bits of paper, they wouldn't be able to buy much African oil with the gold they have on hand. Granted, Saudi Arabia is a bigger producer and the captured fields of Iraq could outproduce Libya but it was still a more credible reason than "saving the lives of protesters".
