I pretty much agree with this:

(bet no-one is surprised)

I'm no fan of coppers, but this guy comes across as a moron. His message is muddled and confused, intermixing cops with politicians. His arguments are unsound as well; the mere fact that any one of us may never directly benefit from a police officer doesn't mean no one will. That's just basic logic and he gets an F there. He also contradicts himself when at the start of the video he says he doesn't hate cops because they confiscate your dope, but later on criticizes them for confiscating your dope :!:

The cops enforce the law - the politicians create the law. I think the relationship is pretty clear.

If the government happened to be Nazi then the cops would be duty bound to enforce the Nazi laws. There is no difference between the cop who takes your bud and the cop who takes that nice Jewish family that's been hiding in your attic. You may argue that the acts of the cops are different and not comparable but they are still the same thing - it is the following of orders. Cops don't have the freedom to decide if the law is wrong. They MUST uphold the law, whatever that law is.

I'm sorry, but this guy sounds like a doofus who had his weed confiscated.

No argument there, but I don't see that as the main reason to hate cops. Following orders in a way detaches them from the decision making process and thus absolves them from moral guilt. The executioner is in a similar position as he kills people but does so on orders from the highest authority - a judge. The messenger MUST relay the message, no matter how painful it is. Punishing him for doing so seems rather small minded.

No, for me the reason to hate cops is exactly the reasons the guy in the video says he doesn't hate cops for. It's when they abuse their authority that makes them a problem. For reasons were the laws are themselves unjust, it's the law makers that are to be hated.
