Why I'll never by another Cisco router...

Yeah... I saw that headline on Ars this morning. Ain't that a kick in the crotch? I think I bought my parents one of those devices, because I wanted to give them a cheap and reliable firewall/router. Now, next time over there, I'll have to roll back the firmware. Ugh. Thanks a bunch, Cisco.

I've been looking at N based wireless for my home. Considering this it's assured to not be Linksys/Cisco. I've been a Netgear fan at home. At work we're a Cisco Shop, though I do realize other people can be more cost effective and performance effective. Since they haven't been a problem and there are other fish to fry - like getting the Backup System running effectively- I haven't cared too much. Guess what Cisco.

My current router is a D-Link. It was a bit flaky at first, but has somehow become very solid. That's kinda unusual behavior for electronics, but I'm not complaining. I currently see no reason to change routers.
