Nah, pants on backwards and wires are the sort of thing that passes for detailed investigative reporting around the US nowadays. It wouldn't have surprised me a bit if that story ran on CNN. Shit's been dumbed down so far even the morons know it's dumb and fake. Anything inciteful is lost amongst the torrent of pure nonsense.

It was reported on my major "news" sources such as C-Span that it was real. I saw your post after several supposed "legit" sources reported it.
