Miscarriage is a crime.

Crack babies are cool, don't ya know? It is a woman's body anyhow, so you as a man should not have an opinion for or against. Consider crack babies as the next step in evolution! If the baby dies from the mother's actions, oh well it was her body not the baby's. Her life style will allow her to keep trying to churn out crack babies!

Apart from the fact that around half of all pregnancies result in miscarriage, if you're going to prosecute for it, and give life sentences be aware that even as little as 1.5 hours of exercise increases the risk of miscarriage by 10% alone before the 18 week mark. So... What ban all women of breeding age from exercise, caffeine and spicy foods, just in case?

If you're going down this road, which, it seems the US is, being a woman there is going to become almost impossible to stay out of prison unless you have your tubes tied.

First off this article is not exactly from a world class reputable source. There won't be any mass arrests for miscarriages. Consider the fact this article choses to highlight women who abuse substances as victims while the babies who die aren't even in the equation. If a man kicks a woman in the stomach and she miscarries, he is charged with murder. If a woman attempts suicide or abuses illegal narcotics survives but the baby dies, why should there a double standard? Purposely causing harm is purposely causing harm whether someone has a penis or a vagina.

Back to crack babies, it is not low to mention what is a real life tragedy that is getting worse every year.

Crack Kids: Cocaine's Living Legacy (1998)

Number of babies born to addicts up 30% (2006)

Babies born to drug addict mothers have almost DOUBLED in last five years (2008)

Women are not victims by default because they were born female.

Actually, if you read the article it covers a woman (Google Amanda Kimbrough) who specifically wasn't an alleged substance abuser, one who despite being told her child would likely be a downs baby chose to continue with the pregnancy, this is verifiable all over the internet from multiple (reputable) sources. So the claim that there won't be arrests outside of that falls flat on it's face. It is also not clear when it talks about the first girl (15 ffs) as to the extent of the abuse (was it a casual [read parties etc] or was she a full blown crack head?).

Again, are you going to advocate that women who miscarry and who do exercise and or drink coffee should be imprisoned for life, or have them banned from doing either?

Because if this is going to be mainstream, the likes of Starbucks will simply ban women of breeding age from their premises on the basis that they represent too much of an insurance risk.

Thing is though Red, you didn't mention it as a tragedy, you went out and to quote you "crack babies are cool" and "the next stage of evolution".

No, they're victimised by laws purposefully designed to inflict maximum humiliation and removal of their rights as human beings. Laws that have been coming thick and fast from the religious right, it must be said for many years.
