Post Covid thread, mop up duty.

The narrative is changing. The sheeple won't remember anything that happened prior.

Han shot first. The 1984 memory hole is now fully technically possible (and worse - convincing depictions of the present can be created by AI in seconds). Physical document archives are dying and, while newsprint still exists, it's almost extinct. It doesn't even matter whether what they printed was true at the time or not, but the point of the memory hole is that you can change the past to be more convenient but to do so you must destroy the contrary evidence of the past.

"Who controls the past controls the future: who controls the present controls the past," - "1984"(1949), Eric Arthur Blair under the nom de plume "George Orwell"

We don't always agree, though MUCH more so in recent years, but sometimes I think we are the only ones speaking the same language. Have you heard of "The Dead Internet Theory"? From your comment here I assume so. I used to make snarky comments about NPCs (Non Player Characters), but as time goes on it is less snark and more matter of fact.

Long covid is real and isn't being seriously addressed.

and preventing infection is still a useful goal
He pointed out that better ventilation and air filtration — which he thinks government and policymakers should push — would not only help prevent the spread of COVID, but would help with any other airborne illness, allergens and even smoke from wildfires.

His sources are easy to look up as he directly references them and shows them on the screen. The TLDR is booster shots trials are based on "8 mice"(!!!) and Astrazeneca themselves say boosters for all "not a good use" of taxpayer money(!!!).

I told you the narrative is quickly changing and likely about to flip 180, with orangemanbad being to blame for mass injury and death from the coof jab. Non-Democrats will remember the "mandatory 100% safe and effective jabs for all", including those who already had and recovered from the coof? Now Joe Biden won't be getting a booster jab, because he got over the coof. A majority of dems won't remember, because they don't remember saying they would never get the jab while orangemanbad was president. Nor do they remember Fauci saying face masks weren't effective (before flip flopping TWICE on the subject during the pandemic).

Wow, the hits keep coming. This time the "horse dewormer" narrative that a few here loved to post memes about.

the main reason I've gotten my boosters is to avoid long covid (and, of course to avoid infecting a person who could get really sick or die)

Sometime next month I'll go get the booster with the added Omicron vaccine in it. I've heard this is the last booster offered for free.

Her vitals remained perfect, she felt great eating only vegan food, and was able to walk three miles a day throughout.
There are parents out there who are serving prison sentences because their kids died from malnutrition due to being forced to eat only vegan foods (without appropriate dietary supplementation).

Also, "vitals remained perfect" is a sentence without any meaning. Iron deficiency, which is extremely common among vegans, is often missed unless multiple tests are being run.

I am not saying that vaccines may not have unintended side effects. It would be intellectually dishonest to rule out the possibility.

However, it is already empirically proven that a poorly planned vegan diet can easily cause a lot of damage so the journalist should have really tried to find someone else to use as an example to prove her point.

The trial used the same vaccine formula as the AstraZeneca vaccine given intramuscularly.

The nasal version of the Oxford/AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine failed an early-stage clinical trial, dashing hopes for better infection prevention and forcing researchers to re-think the design.
Many experts have hyped the potential of nasal COVID-19 vaccines. They argue that snorting the shots could encrust the nasal mucous membranes with snotty antibodies—namely IgA—and other immune defenses that could blow away SARS-CoV-2 virus particles before they have the chance to cause an infection. Currently, the shots given intramuscularly in arms provide robust systemic immune responses that prevent severe disease and death but spur relatively weak antibody levels on mucous membranes and, relatedly, don't always prevent infection.
Hopefully only a short setback.

My worry is that we’re going to be left with waves and waves of people with chronic disease and that’s not only going to affect the lives and livelihood of these people, but it’s going to affect the economy, it’s going to affect education attainment, it’s going to affect their ability to maintain economic productivity and maintain a job and continue to be productive members of society.
I've been saying this since 2020

Interesting to read the opinions of the doctors and health specialists and then to contrast that with the blitherings of the sociologist "specialising in health, illness and disability studies"!

Well this is interesting.

With shots and infections, the most common COVID symptoms have shifted

Beware of unexplained sneezing, which is becoming a more common COVID symptom.
As people build up immunity to SARS-CoV-2 through vaccines, boosters, and infections, the most commonly reported symptoms of COVID-19 have shifted, making the deadly pandemic infection more difficult for many people to distinguish from standard cold-weather viruses.
That's according to recent survey data collected in the ZOE COVID Study, an app-based study with over 4 million users that was created by researchers at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard University, King's College London, and the health science company, ZOE.
Since COVID-19 emerged, the common symptoms that have topped standard lists include fever, chills, a persistent cough, and shortness of breath. As the virus spread around the planet, loss of taste and smell were also reported as telltale signs. But these days, those symptoms are almost completely absent from the top five.
According to the new survey data taken over several recent weeks amid the spread of omicron subvariants, for those who are fully vaccinated, the top five symptoms of a breakthrough infection are (in order): sore throat, runny nose, blocked nose, persistent cough, and headache. Only persistent cough hangs on from the original list of top symptoms, but it is down to the fourth most common symptom. A loss of smell came in as the sixth most common symptom, and fever trailed at number eight. Shortness of breath ranked 29th.

Genetic data links SARS-CoV-2 to raccoon dogs in China market, scientists say

"These data could have—and should have—been shared three years ago."

Newly obtained genetic data from the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (China CDC) links the pandemic coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 to animals—specifically raccoon dogs—at the Huanan Seafood Wholesale Market in Wuhan, where the earliest COVID-19 cases centered, a group of independent scientists told the World Health Organization this week.
