Hello, and welcome to Whyzzat "2.0"...

Whyzzat.com was started in 2005 as a kind of wayward spot for intelligent refugees from the online Commodore Amiga community to gather, share ideas, and discuss the various events that affected our daily lives.

Over the years, we've evolved and now openly welcome pretty much everyone in the world. (Trolls need not apply).

 

So... Why is it "2.0"?

For the first 10 years of our existence, we operated as a forum-based Web site. Now, we've made the quantum leap into more of a Social Networking-based Web site which allows our members to more easily share everything with their friends. This includes writing blogs, posting links to stories, and just generally conversing.

 

So what makes this site any different?

There are probably dozens of Social Networking sites out there. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etcetera. We're not here to compete with them in any way.

Unlike these huge, monsterous conglomerates, who each serve millions of people, we specialize in keeping a small, vibrant "niche" community together and entertained. It's easy to get lost amongst the millions on those other sites.
