Climate Change is being blamed, in part, for the civil war in Syria.

I don't find this a reach. Historically, we've seen populations around the world go to war with their neighbors as resources are constricted. Climate Change will have a variety of impacts. If you're living in an area with dwindling water supply where are you going to get the water? Do you have financial resources to pay continually for water? Or does it make sense to financially invest in weapons and then take the water?
One other interesting thing is since 1967 the world has doubled in population. In my lifetime there's now twice as many people in the world. The next doubling is supposed to take even less years. So not only do nations see changes in resources due to climate change they need more resources due to population growth.
