Not sure I'm blaming Obama for the DHS taking on the role of lord-overseer. The Government has now become too large, run by probably "dozens" of people all clamoring for power and presenting it as "providing security".

Hard to fathom how you can put these two things together like that. i suppose you thought the shock value would be sufficient to prevent people from seeing that you were making absolutely no sense. Abortions in school would be about empowering young girls to take charge of their lives and iris scans is about making all the students into trackable cattle. You might not agree with allowing abortions but that's a different matter. Girls getting abortions without submitting to their parent's authority is worse than all students submitting to the school authorities dubious need for biometric identification? How would you feel about schools fingerprinting all their kids without telling the parents? It's the same sort of thing. As school id it's pretty useless, the old photo id is what works best in a small environment like a school with people recognizing faces naturally. Iris scans are more the sort of things that you use to pick individuals out of large populations when can get the police to bring them in and get a scan or when people are passing through checkpoints.
If school is for training the next generation then it's training them to accept increased surveillance.

You weren't really making one. saying that you bet different people will have different opinions about these two completely different things is hardly ground breaking. One is pro-freedom, the other anti-freedom. You seem to be against both.
