Of course, this article holds the operation to have been a failure because Libya is now a failed state, but you have to make the assumption that they didn't intend to make a failed state. I think that's unlikely - the US has done this sort of thing repeatedly and made quite a few failed states and since the neo-con agenda is to prevent any geographical area to become organized enough to be a threat to US hegemony, failed states are not a negative outcome.

Meanwhile in Libya - yes, the terrorists have an airforce. Meanwhile, a US backed rebel is the new leader of ISIS in Libya. Good job Mr. Hope&Change-Nobel-Peace-Prize guy. But it's just more business as usual.
