Don't know who runs the 'News Feed' here but interesting news. One of the large problem for kids is being subjected to illegal immigration by their parents. This can result in neither Country wanting you. It appears California is taking illegal immigrant children who are the top group in their class, don't have a criminal record, and working on their path to citizenship and giving them about 1% of the overall educational grants. If someone is the best and brightest and wants to be part of the US this seems to me like a fairly good idea. "Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door"
I think it is a first come first serve for Wayne, Karlos, ltstanfo and me, to screen and cherry pick news for approval. It seems to be mostly me, probably because I have been the most active.
Red -- Thanks for that info. This one was a good one. I can't think of much more positive for the United States than a program that takes the best and brightest of children that, through no fault of their own, don't really have a nation to call home and promote them a place to be in the world.
California revenue for the fiscal year that began three months ago has fallen $705 million below what Democrats projected, approaching a level that may trigger automatic university spending cuts and higher community college fees. Education costs will rise for everyone in California except for illegal aliens who will get a reduced rate! Oh what a dream!
