Parler’s amateur coding could come back to haunt Capitol Hill rioters​

Some 80 terabytes of posts, many already deleted, preserved for posterity.​

As an aside, I went to have a look at my Parler account today and the site is down with a Networking Error message.

Amazon said, "This case is about Parler's demonstrated unwillingness and inability" to remove actively dangerous content, including posts that incite and plan "the rape, torture, and assassination of named public officials and private citizens.."
Amazon's filing included copies of emails it sent to Parler in mid-November (PDF, content warning for racial slurs) containing screenshots full of racist invective about Democrats, including former First Lady Michelle Obama, with a series of responses from other users to "kill 'em all."

...dozens of examples of posts Amazon reported to Parler, beginning in mid-December. Those posts call for, among other things: killing a specific transgender person; actively wishing for a race war and the murder of Black and Jewish people; and killing several activists and politicians such as Stacey Abrams, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), and former President Barack Obama.

More seriously, yes, you have at least one left-wing activist crackpot arrested. And even though this is the same guy we already spoke about earlier in the thread, I wouldn't be surprised if more turn up over the coming weeks.
However, your position is - or at least was - that Antifa organised the attack on the Capitol. This idiot's arrest does little to support that position, given the comparatively huge amount of Qanon and Trump followers arrested.

I'm not sure what you think my media is but perhaps worth pointing out your source is a mainstream newspaper from my country (and, ironically, it has a reputation for dishonesty).
And when have I ever claimed the media or Democrat politicians are honest? You're projecting again, dear fellow. I think I've been pretty consistent over the decades that almost all politicians are liars and almost all media is biased.

All of that aside, it looks to me like this guy is just as likely to be a lover of a bit of old fashioned civic upheaval as he is to be an Antifa agent provocateur. Hopefully time will tell. It'll certainly be interesting to see what was on his 'phone & social media accounts in the preceding hours and days. If he was part of some coordinated Antifa plot, there will almost certainly be a record of it.
