Big Bird is 43 years old and makes 70 million a year from product licensing agreements. The Sesame Workshop President is paid about 1 million a year.

Obama’s own Bowles-Simpson deficit reduction commission singled out Corporation for Public Broadcasting spending for cuts!

Yup but the picture is funny:lol:

It's interesting what has happened. It seems MSM loved the Mittens. Turned out Fox news trimmed out some of Obama's answer from their 'offical' transcript. Similarily CNN polled only southern white males over the age of 50 and returned that as an 'unbiased' poll that Mittens won. Other news agencies, of course, reported CNN as the 'fact'. Not all did but many.

The internet seems more focused on the important part of the debate. Not the show but who was more truthful. It seems that by most accounts Mittens made claims of position completely opposite of prior claims of position.

Here's the question I have - was Obama smart or lucky? Obama could have called Mittens on the floor and didn't. Obama has demonstrated in the past a love of Technology and the Internet. Did he know (or his handlers) that the internet would error check and that wouldn't need to be called out? And my further question is does Obama believe the power of social networking and it's ability to do so enough that it'll help him carry the election?

Why take such a risk?
Defensiveness!
When people reject a statement they are seen as being on the defense. Even if the criticism is logically true the average person will judge the rejector as being untrue. Denial, for most things, works in the opposite direction. It makes more people accept the original statement than the more correct but later correction. Had Obama rejected all the untruths Mitten was spewing Obama would have appeared defensive and taken as wrong (even if he was right. )

@Red, Definitely the picture was good humor. That's why I posted it.

@Metalman, If you want to understand why PBS exists the best person to explain this was definitely Fred Rogers.

Former "Reading Rainbow" host LeVar Burton is PISSED after Mitt Romney threatened to cut PBS funding last night -- telling TMZ, Romney would be stealing an invaluable educational resource from underprivileged children.

LeVar tells us, "I am personally outraged that any serious contender for the White House would target as part of his campaign the children of America in this fashion."

"Educators across the country, as well as millions of children and adults know that the programming on PBS has been responsible for significant improvements in education, literacy, math, science and life skills for generations of our children."

He adds, "Defunding PBS directly punishes the less fortunate by removing this trusted and extraordinary educational resource available to all."

"On behalf of America's children, I can't stay silent. I encourage you to join me in fighting this short-sighted and frankly mean-spirited attack on our children."

Haven't seen any of it, partly because, for the first time since Clinton was in charge, I really don't care.

And as Jim said, one liar talking to another liar.

Apart from that, I've been a wee bit busy.

yes, it is.
and that moron, mittens wants to ADD money to that side.
