What RTFS (read the fine screen?) Silly me I was looking at all the other controls and never really pay attention to the other two boxes in the lower corner.

OK -- 245 vs 195...

You be needing some poutine to get you all nice and cuddly round again. :)

Thanks all and yes I've much more energy.

Poutine? I'd never heard of that before. Using Google I looked it up. At one time I might have gone for it. Now it looks like a fat salted mess. It's strange that once you start eating differently one's body prefers to eat that way.

wow! 245 lbs included an extra head!

impressive!

Poutine is disgusting. I think people who eat it are nuts.

@ceclia
Good message. Overall lots can come from a little bit. I'd close my door and do a quick 5-10 minute abs or pushup work outs. Then get back to work. Seemed to be good here.

One improvement I need is to drink more. I get 1-2 drinks a month, at most. This is 'bad' as evidence shows that 1-2 drinks a week for men seems to promote better health.

OK it's been a while since my last update in June. I've been stable at 195. In all my wisdom I signed up for a 10 mile run the first week of Oct. I'm also redoing the original 1/2 marathon the last week in Oct. I want to see how much better I can do in a year's time between the same race.

I needed something different so I started the 'Insanity' tapes this week. They are flat out crazy. The lead instructor on video can't make it through his own work out. Shaun T is his name. He usually winds up on the floor at the end. Well after the first week I went from 195 pounds with 26% body fat to 193 pouns with 25% body fat. I can't imagine anyone not being able to lose weight with the program. If you haven't exercised do not start here.

Have a great Labor Day Weekend all!

Hey, that's cool, but over exerting yourself isn't the greatest idea. At the very least make sure your ticker is in top form. You know, marathons are not very healthy. People who run them often tend to get expanded hearts which can lead to problems. It's good to just take things up a notch, but going insane is just, insane.

Btw, I lost about 5lbs in the last month or so. Haven't worked out a damn bit (unless you count burping the baby a workout). Think it's from the lack of sleep...

Update. I've been sticking to 193 pounds and bodyfat is changing down a bit to 22-23%. Yeah.

Work had some health screenings today. Did a non-fasting glucose and cholesterol check... Results.
Total Cholesterol should be under 200. Mine is 179
HDL should be at least 40. Mine is 44.
Glucose Non-Fasting under 140 (fasting is under 100). Mine is 88.
Blood Pressure should be 120 (or less ) over 80 (or less). Mine was 118/78.

I guess I'll live for a while. Now to stop hobbling after my quickest 14 mile run ever last Sat.

I have no idea what I weight and haven't worked out in months, but I'm dead tired!

I find I'm less tired when I work out. Though it took about a month of working out for that to happen.

A brief update. I'm down to 210.5 lbs. Body fat to 29% from 43%. I completed my first half Marathon today in 2:55:50. Certainly no where near a speed demon but it felt good.
A year later I ran the same race. Down to 191 pounds and 23% body fat. Ran it in 2:30:59. Nearly 25 minutes faster.
