FIFA World Cup 2010 in South Africa

Well, Greece lost 2-0 but they played well all things considering. We would have need a win to get through as Korea and Nigeria tied. Oh well. It was fun while it lasted. I hope Argentina wins it.

Watching Germany v Ghana on TV and Wimbledon on the 'puter at the same time, as I am now, is somewhat distracting....
 
Germany vs England should be a good game. I have a feeling Germany will win this one. A little surprised about Ghana sending the US home.
 
Excellent match. More terrible refereeing (yet another perfectly good goal ruled out), right enough, but the best team won.
 
Congratulations to Spain - world champions. I actually wanted the Dutch to win but coudln't argue that the Spanish were the best.

Congrats to Spain. I too was originally rooting for Netherlands, but was somewhat disappointed with their play. In fact, they are lucky they didn't get a red card much earlier in the game. Overall, I'd say the fight for 3rd place, Germany vs Uruguay, was a far more entertaining and well played match. Congrats also go to Germany who I was rooting for and deserved the win.
 
This is kind of after the fact by a long way but maybe here is a reason why the US will never field a FIFA winning team.

There are only two Fincher's stores in Canada and one is in Kincardine and one is in Goderich, both of which are in Ontario on the shore of Lake Huron and about 50km apart. Street view won't get you to the building for a positive ID but the Princess Huron Trailer Park is just outside of Goderich so I'm saying that this is shot in Goderich.

Yeah, it looks like (thankfully) Billy Bob is a satirist. He might even be a Canadian. ooooo. Subversive.
