Florida teen, 14, charged with first degree murder after she strangles newborn baby

Go check any jail in the USA and I'd bet you the vast majority are registered democrat. Wanna take that bet?

yes... i actually would... most of the people you find in the jails are ineligible to vote due to felony convictions... try again

There you go again! :mad: You been going to RLB's cross burnings?

my daughters boyfriend missed the cross burnings... my half black ,half indian step brother did too... so didnt his dad.... my cousins husband... one of the fellers who works for me part time... my full time helpers sister sure hasn't seen my racism either (at one point the four black people in town were her kids and i am uncle rob to them) she missed em too, the guys i was friends with in college, the army... yadda yadda... if you actually knew anything about me in real life you'd see yourself for the fool you really are... and you are... youre kind of a tool... im the one guy in this town who doesn't make racist jokes, comments in a sea of intolerant libertarians and republicans... and i voted for obama... guess that makes me a racist... :lol:

It's just how it is. Blacks are picked up by the police more than whites, searched (often illegally) more than whites, go to court more often than whites for the same things and once in court are convicted more often and sentenced more harshly than whites. They are over represented in the prison population and once they have been convicted then in many jurisdictions they lose the right to vote. In Florida during the run up to the 2000 election, if you were black and had a name that was somewhat similar to a convicted felon in Florida or in Texas (because Texas forwarded a bunch of names of Texas felons to Florida as well) then you would be scrubbed from the voter rolls. More likely to be poor, more likely to go to jail when a white person in similar circumstances would not and then more likely to get scrubbed from the voting rolls even if you were completely innocent and had no convictions. And blacks vote Democrat more than they vote Republican. Poor people also are more likely to vote Democrat than Republican so if you want to swing the vote pass laws that disenfranchise convicts and poor people - both of which groups tend to have more black people due to systemic racism; not your racism per se : systemic racism.

@Fluffy,

This year Florida extended non-voting to prision convicts out 7 years. Blacks make up 13% of the population and 23% of the prision population. Blacks are also, no coincidence, a large Democratic Voting block. But, you know what they say laws against sleeping under bridges apply equally to homeless and home owners right. ;)

Losing voting rights is a political game. It should be a right of all citizens to vote. Perhaps no voting if you're in prision I might get behind. But, if you've served your time and are out you should have voting rights. You are still a citizen afterall.
