Then you must be a person of very little imagination or courage. Let me see. How about on the principle of standing for your rights? The police in riot gear are there to riot - that is what they have been hired to do, use threats of violence and violence itself to enforce the will of the elites on the people. The guys standing their ground are not getting paid to do so, it is their right and they stand for it.

I wasn't aware that the man injured in the video was a junkie, alcoholic parasite on society.
However, the implication that this makes what happened to him acceptable is a little distasteful in my opinion.

but when a real live veteran is exercising the Free Speech that HE gave his time and body to with TWO tours of duty - well - that is too inconvenient.

now he has to be silenced because he isn't acting like the slave (cannon fodder) he should be.

most people I have seen presenting themselves as the 99% are middle class, teachers, students just out of college with no jobs, Union members, PhD scientists out of work, Veterans, etc and so on.
Not bums.

and all they want is their country back. They want the criminals on Wall Street in jail. They want an end to corporate welfare. It's not difficult to understand. Unless, of course, you are one of the 1% and are afraid of losing your billions in profits.
