Seen this before. Sadly it probably wasn't a gag joke. This probably happened.
I've actually seen a store by me that had that same sign. So I'm guessing at least two people mistook fuel additives for energy drinks. It's not really as crazy as it sounds. Gas stations always have their energy shot drinks at the counter like that. And auto parts stores (like Advance, in this picture) sometimes have both at the counter.
