Iceland plans to ban porn

personally i don't think its wrong to use identifiers and qualifiers... most people are okay with it too i believe.... no problems pointing out that there are russian mafias, italian mafias, japanese mafias... we single out the catholic church for pedophile bashing and we are good with that all the while knowing it isn't all of them doing it... terrorists are usually muslim... but they all aren't either... jews are sacred? one can't even mention that they do control most of hollywood, even if it's proven to be true, without the old canard of antisemitism being hurled back at you... from now on... when you get mugged... tell the cops it was a man, x tall, x weight... approx x age... and be sure not to give a skin color... lest you be labelled a racist... cause thats what i'm being asked to do... ignore the obvious... no matter how glaring...

isn't it about purity... wink wink... i can notice that arabs are suicide bombers because thats okay...even give them their own busline so i don't have to call them niggers when they ride.....and screw back of the bus, i dont want them on mine at all... if it turns out 98% of porn companies are owned by jews, or 100% of all the banks ...i should...? im sensing a double standard here....
 
I get the argument that porn is degrading to women. There's certainly that degradation and manipulation aspect to some of it.

However, I think that porn is much more diverse than that simple answer. Gay porn, for example, is not degrading to women in any way. (Unless you count the feeling of left out of the picture as degrading.) Other women see porn as empowering. They do it their way, on their terms, and control their message. Heck everyone one of us controls our message. Sex positive feminism does exist and makes sense as well.

BS, no one is forcing the women into that profession. They are there by choice and apparently there is no shortage of women for porn.

Weeeelllllll .... form personal experience I can say that not all the women in the sex trade are necessarily willing and that includes the picture biz. I can't speak for the big operations but there are a lot of smaller seedier providers. I won't, of course, illuminate so as not to accidentally provide identifying information.

and i don't... on a human level... either...one womans' "you go girl" is another womans' "wtf am i doing here?"... i will try not to aid the despair... every girl i come in contact with i empower... every young man too... we have to build the future we want... no room for disinterested observers at this point because there are too many of us.... it takes a village to keep the poop off the kitchen floor...;)

So you are saying there is no legitimate porn business and it is all sex trade?

We were talking about porno, which implies legally made movies.
