My cousin was through a similar divorce. He was their primary caregiver, and the kids love him, and were begging to be with him. Their mother agreed at first, and then mid-way through the proceedings she changed her mind and decided she wanted the kids, after all. Final ruling? He gets to see them four days a month... And had to move across the country to even get that. :/
sad to say, that's the normal ruling in Family Court
This is also very true. I had a restraining order against me for fear of abuse, despite the fact I never (nor could I ever) have laid a finger on my ex.
A woman can get a restraining order because the "tone of your voice" makes them "afraid"
Then once the restraining order is issued, you can be arrested for violating the restraining order when going to her home to pick up your children for visitation.
