I lived in the UK in the 70s. The UK doesn't have a constitution and has never declared itself Socialist, but at that time bla, bla, bla.

Like your Socialism in small doses do you?

Time to turn in your handbook McDeath. :)

Fluffy just likes the theory, not the implementation.

You don't have any idea what Fluffy likes or doesn't like because you don't pay attention.

Your repeated use of the above phrase is clearly ad hominem and you continue to restate it despite the fact that you must know this.

a posteriori de facto argumentum ad hominem.

Edit -- I won't step down to Metalman's level.

WTF is it about you Americans calling Sweden a socialist country? I'm happy to inform you that we are a constitutional monarchy with a representative democratic system much like yours. The Riksdag is fairly comparable to your house of representatives, with the minister of state acting as a de facto president. The king is the formal head of state, but he has no political power and has no right to make political deciscions.

Ownership of capital goods free and un-regulated, and the economy is a mixed one, just like your own (with the exception that we, unlike you, actually allow competition to our national mail service).

Please tell your fellow countrymen to look socialism up in a dictionary, or at least Wikipedia, before calling everyone and his mother a socialist. :D

Rant over, kkbaithx

btw, not all americans are obsessed with some make believe notion of "socialism". or need to call Sweden a socialist country. I know I never have.

As far as I can tell Sweden seems to be doing just fine.

But Whabang also said:
"I'm not from the U.S so you need to enlighten me a bit. The commies in charge here forces us to put up with almost much free healthcare, so I'm not to familiar with your system."
-----------------------------------------

Even if you believe your health care is free, maybe you shouldn't be so literal next time even in jest.

And besides that, there is no such thing as "free anything" when a government is running it, no matter what country you live in. :rtfm:

You don't fool us! We know Sweden is a Commie-hell-hole! The depravation! :roflmao:
(having said that, going out for a bevvy in your beautiful country is outrageously expensive but I guess that's one reason you have less alcohol related deaths than us booze-addled jocks.)

The cradle to grave welfare state is socialist.

@Whabang:

As demonstrated above, some people are willfully ignorant and there is no point trying to discuss anything with them. Or maybe he's trolling. I'm sure he knows there are elements of his own state that are also socialist (tax, for example) but he either ignores it by choice or through stupidity. Either way, you are wasting your time.
