I guarantee these kids have Democrat parents.


The elderly are not immune from hate crimes.
 
3 teens involved in school bus beating get light sentences

All three of the boys pleaded guilty to aggravated battery and one of the boys also pleaded guilty to robbery for stealing money during the beating.

The conditions of the teens' sentences include a period of electronic monitoring up to 60 days, community service and direct reporting to a probation officer. Probation for the three boys will continue until the court finds it appropriate to release them.

The teens should have been charged as adults at the very least.

Two of the teens showed no emotion while watching the video, while the third teen nervously swiveled back and forth in his chair and looked down.

"I was angry. I felt disrespected, because something bad was said about me that wasn't true, and I took it in my own matters, and things just got worse," said the teenager who was referred to as the "ringleader" by Gross.

The judge asked the teen whether he had a message for the boy he attacked in his fit of rage.
"That I am sorry for doing it," the boy replied.

With details coming out, was it a hate crime? Or just poorly raised thugs who would have beat down any kid who snitched? If it were the other way around with 3 white kids beating down a black kid, would there be any question whether hate crime charges would be brought regardless of the details?

If I would have been these kids my Democrat Momma would have kicked my ass.

Though one of my High School classmates did something similar to one of the lunchroom ladies, called her fat and poor. Because only poor people work in school lunchrooms. School gave him detention. He said it was unfair because his parents didn't think there was anything wrong. (I'm assuming posturing) He did go on to be President his College Republicans.

The whites are, of course, completely unbiased and just want to hang out with each like-minded other.
After all, you never know when a bunch of black guys are gonna walk into a store and ... pay for their purchases!!!

Yup, plenty of hate to go around and and sometimes folks play against type.

As for the violent assaults race on race, that's been a feature for a long time. Hispanic gangs on Black gangs, Irish gangs on Italian gangs, White gangs on ... everyone, but they call them the police. The south used to be full of lynchings and draggings of black men, it's much less frequent now. Despite the uptick at the moment people have a perception that violent crime is getting worse and worse because that's what makes the news, but violent crime has been on the decline for decades.

That's not a reason to be complacent, of course, because nations in protracted wars and nations with high economic inequality tend to get violent. The only thing that's worse than that is to have those things plus high numbers of young people ... especially unemployed ones.

Poor, unemployed young people without prospects, without a feeling that they could join prosperous society and get ahead tend to find outlets in drugs, drink, rowdiness and crime because it's better than just sitting around having nothing. All societies have their underclass, their chavs, neds and hoolies. We can recognize them by the clothes they wear, or by the way they talk, etc. But in the US they are colour coded and the system likes it that way.

It's true that blacks commit more crimes on whites than vice versa, but when whites rob black kids, or kidnap them or shoot them it's not a crime - so long as the guy doing it has a badge. There is an asymmetry. And it's true too that blacks tend to be poorer than whites, less employed, having less opportunities to get ahead legitimately. Americans love to say they live in a classless society but it's not true though sometimes it looks more like a caste system.

It's certainly not of much importance in the big scheme, but it's a cute story in a "dog rescues kitten, then a rainbow happened" kind of way and it DOES provide a counterpoint to the "black crime" stories.
Is it a national story? No, but neither is a story about some black kids beating up a white kid.

Yes, black kids seem to be doing the most flash robberies. 'Tis the current fashion. However, whites still dominate in the mass killings division. And whites still dominate in gigantic financial fraud - something that really IS a national story and is more likely to be actually affecting you in your life.

The driver, who is African-American, eventually turned the A/C off, but when Slick tried to get off the bus, words were exchanged.

“I definitely feel race played a huge issue in it. If that would have been a white bus driver that made a comment like that to an African-American, they would have been fired,” Slick said.

In a statement, the city of Waukesha said: “There is no excuse for that behavior. Although this was an isolated incident, the city is taking this very seriously.”

The company who employs the driver said they couldn’t comment, but added Veolia Transportation “will provide refresher customer service training.”

I don't know what Glenn Beck is going on about here, but specifically CFL bulbs have been a disaster for the environment. CFL bulbs contain mercury and probably 95% of them end up in a landfill. The problem is especially bad here in Florida where it is dangerous to eat fish in from the everglades due to mercury levels. A good amount of that comes from CFL bulbs in landfills.

It is arguable that CFL should have never replaced incandescent bulbs. They cost more to use than incandescent, never last as long as advertised and pollute worse than incandescent in the long run. I am more hopeful for LED technology as they don't contain mercury and should last much, much longer than CFL.
