even if most catholics don't know the details many have sensed the hypocrisy. Like this lady.
oh, Snap!Sadly you still think your pronouncements will be accepted without question by a meek credulous herd. You have spent far too much time telling us just how sinful we are while drawing veils of respectability over your own grievous wrongdoings.
According to several well-placed vaticanisti—or Vatican experts—in Rome, Benedict is resigning after being handed a secret red-covered dossier that included details about a network of gay priests who work inside the Vatican, but who play in secular Rome. The priests, it seems, are allegedly being blackmailed by a network of male prostitutes who worked at a sauna in Rome’s Quarto Miglio district, a health spa in the city center, and a private residence once entrusted to a prominent archbishop. The evidence reportedly includes compromising photos and videos of the prelates—sometimes caught on film in drag, and, in some cases, caught “in the act.”
I sort of agree....except none of this looks good. In my view - and maybe I'm just so disgusted with religion in general and the catholic church in particular that I just don't believe anyone in there is "good"It wouldn't surprise me, but it would surprise me more if that were the only thing. I'm sure there are a lot of people that would like to keep it to this. It's the kind of story that people can easily latch on to and it mans that more boring stories about business interests won't get much play.
having gone to catholic school I know this - although I have certainly forgotten all the number details because i don't give a crap.how to land the popedome
"There are certain favorites to be the next pope. According to the Irish gambling web site Paddy Power, the odds-on favorite is Cardinal Peter Turkson of Ghana, who is leading the pack at 3-1. That makes sense -- the church is in a mess right now and they always give the crappy cleanup job to the black guy." -- Stephen Colbert
