Funnily enough, I'm actually using OS4 tonight for the first time in three months and jolly pleasant it is too.
(Although I confess to having my iBook open just now too.)

Upgraded to the latest pre-release (4) and HD-Rec absolutely flys with the JIT emulation.
It was extremely limited in the previous release of the OS.

I wasn't sure if it was worth the money to get my CPU card fixed but I'm coming round to the idea already (about half an hour in).
