Ice gets hard to find once the electricity goes out
well, as you can see all the RED areas are right next to the water.
I have a HS friend who lives in one of those RED areas and she's manning her water pumps. yeah, I know she technically is supposed to NOT be there, but...well.....we are made of tough stuff, us new yorkers.
Anyway, I am on high ground. The roof has no leaks.....windows all sealed up...and I sure hope we don't lose electricity, but high winds blow down trees. so, who knows?
they claim the worse will be tomorrow.....the subway is already shut down.
they also claim it was suppose to start raining now and it's not.
I think Sandy is an opportune time for the Romney campaign. He's told us how he's going to cut FEMA to save money. He could use this event just prior to the election to describe how his gutting of disaster relief will better support the East Coast population. I want to hear about how gutting will return the nation to full service quicker after this event.
Supposedly it'll crash into another storm and 2-3' of snow predicted for West Virginia? Being from Minnesota I'd love to see that happen here. The 35" Duluth snowfall in 1 storm was crazy fun. I dropped out of 3rd story windows into the 5' snow drifts on the side of the building.
I have NO idea what I'm really doing, but I installed the SSL cert on whyzzat.com, generated a secret key, then set up image and link proxies.
Hopefully the site now directs to https:// properly, doesn't generate any cookie errors, and is generally a better, more secure environment...
