Might be better in Globalism thread because destabilizing the US is the plan all along. But, I'll just put it here to laugh at ridiculously incompetent Libertards who truly think gooberment is an bottomless honeypot.
I don't think they mean to destabilise per se, I just think that some people are more interested in diverting public wealth to themselves - kind of the way cancer is bad for the body, but in the short term it's good for the cell not happy to merely do their job and get by. Giving power to the few to manage public wealth is inherently risky, for example:
The Best Democracy Money Can Buythe Interior Department made an extraordinary but little noticed change in procedures under the 1872 Mining Law, the gold rush–era act that permitted those whiskered small-time prospectors with their tin pans and mules to stake claims on their tiny plots. The department initiated an expedited procedure for mining companies that allowed Barrick to swiftly lay claim to the largest gold find in America. In the terminology of the law, Barrick could "perfect its patent" on the estimated $10 billion in ore—for which Barrick paid the U.S. Treasury a little under $10,000. Eureka!
A pretty sweet million times return on investment.
The idea that tax payers taxes should be spent on making taxpayers lives better is not very controversial. The problem is that politicians tend to steal it or are "advised" by con men who steal it.
