A beacon on the hill, by his works ye shall know him. What kind of fruit does this tree bear?

Well, for one thing, being Mitt means you don't have to rent a crowd of supporters when you have a wealthy buddy who owns his own slaves. Yes, the wealthy are often incredibly cheap - they hate to spend their money.

aside:
Meanwhile New Jersey Republican candidate Rabbi Shmuley Boteach has a friend in Sheldon Adelson. Oh, if only it was a Catholic priest with a Vatican passport getting money from Lucky Luciano - then we'd be able to call it the sleazy deal it is.

Now, back to Romney - once again we find that America hates people who served in Vietnam like Dr. Ron Paul but love rich draft dodgers. When his kids ask - "Daddy, what did you do in the war?" he can tell them that he was chilling in a palace in the South of France.

But now he's in Florida busily becoming President of the USA - with his yacht close at hand. And what flag does a patriot and future POTUS fly on his boat? Cayman Islands, of course.

ABC News snapped photos of the Cayman Islands civil ensign flag flying on the yacht’s stern.

This is what a actual Cayman Islands civil ensign flag looks like

WRONG!
but thanks for playing

Ah. Classic. Pick what you think is the weakest point and then fall on you arse with cartoon birds tweeting about your head. Very amusing. Of course, from the photo linked in the story it's really hard to tell what the flag actually looks like. Perhaps it really is just wind blown version of the old stars and stripes. Maybe I'm just not seeing it because I haven't dropped acid. It's not hard to find other pictures though. That vessel has been flying that flag for a while. Hmm. Here's one.

Nope, doesn't look so star spangled banner to me. Maybe the guys over at the Cayman Registry might find it familiar.

I've long wondered McDeath. What did you do in the war?

That's a really dangerous sounding name.
You must have been a real terror!

You better keep looking for more pictures, its NOT the Cayman Islands flag

Here's another one. http://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/romne...n-islands-flag/story?id=17105028#.UD5BrtbN_Yi

Metalman, what I see is a red flag with the british flag in the upper corner, just like the image you posted. Now I give you what we can't see is if the other symbol is the crest with turtle/lion/stars/waves. I can see there's something that but exactly what is hard to say. A Cayman Island flag is a seemingly good guess. Falkan Islands is very similar as well. It's a crest with the sheep. What is your guess to what other flag it is?

the flag has the crest within a white disk

it is a form of Queen Anne's ensign used by Commonwealth countries

or it could be an antique flag
need a better picture to identify

Thanks Metalman. So what you really should say is we're not 100% sure what the flag it and it might possibly not be the Cayman Islands

Though it does turn out that the yacht website Charterworld reports the Cracker Bay as flagged in the Cayman Islands. Which I think lends more evidence that ABC News may have reported this correctly.

Either way I think the questions are the same. Why is a fundraiser being held using a non-USA resource? Who owns the Cracker Bay and was the boat's cost (eg did they not rent it but get it free for the event) a political contribution in kind? Being it's from the Cayman Islands simply is that extra spat of butter.

Alrighty.

Hmmm. Does kinda look like the Cayman crest on an Ensign. Oh but there's something ... I just can't quite place my finger on it.
the flag has the crest within a white disk
Oh. It's the white circle. THAT'S the problem!

You did follow my link to the Cayman Registry, didn't you? You see, unlike some people, I like to not disguise my links so I leave them the bog standard styling that whyzzat gives them.

Thanks Metalman. So what you really should say is we're not 100% sure what the flag it and it might possibly not be the Cayman Islands

Obviously they rented a boat flying a red ensign flag because that was the flag that Lord Cornwallis was flying when he surrendered at Yorktown.

Hey man that blue and underlined stuff was a ctrl-c / ctrl-v from my browser. I actually entered no Whyzzat code on those. The computer just self did it. Damn you Ballmer!

This XenForo software has its own ideas of styling and formatting, and is quite uncooperative at times at letting the user fix formatting, styling, and links

But now that Fluffy considers that it's a conspiracy specifically against him, it must be a feature and not a bug! :P

The icon in the top right of the edit pane (with the small A and the big underlined A) lets you edit the bbcode.
But now that Fluffy considers that it's a conspiracy specifically against him, it must be a feature and not a bug! :p
You have implied that you like hiding links. I don't consider that a conspiracy. Maybe it's just difficult for me to tell when you are joking. Perhaps even now you are joking about this Cayman Islands flag not being a Cayman Islands flag. Again, the link to the Cayman Registry.

the name of this giant boat is "Cracker Bay"

wow

rich white people are so damn funny

remember when the gop told everyone Kerry was a horrible person because he was rich and out of touch with the middle class??

to hysterical for words

@Metalman and @FluffyMcDeath
Imagine the field day if it was a Kenyanian Flag and Obama.

Some have complained I put in too many links. You're complaining I hide them. My solution is to disguise them, it satisfies complainant A, and while both you and I are still able to easily find them, if so inclined

It is not flying the 'Official" flag, and until your last picture it was ambiguous about exactly which British Commonwealth flag it was flying. I did find researching Queen Anne's red ensign flag and it being Lord Cornwallis flag at Yorktown to be interesting

"F.U.K. Obama"
"Fuk," he notes, is actually an acronym for

...

"Fundamentally Useless Kenyan."

Interesting. Since the sign said "Obama Fuk Off" I presume that OFF must be an acronym also. Or perhaps this is just a case of lame brained post facto rationalizing ... kind of like this:

Some have complained I put in too many links. You're complaining I hide them. My solution is to disguise them, it satisfies complainant A, and while both you and I are still able to easily find them, if so inclined.

No matter. Since it is now beyond question that the flag is Cayman Islands would you care to address some of the less trivial points from my opening post?

a wealthy buddy who owns his own slaves. Yes, the wealthy are often incredibly cheap - they hate to spend their money.

seems the complainers are the leadership of SEIU District 1199, possibly they support a different candidate and prefer to be unemployed

It is illegal to pay workers to attend a political rally.
The mine was shut down so the entire companies management could attend, it would violate safety rules for the mine to remain open without management present
