It's probably illegal to mandate your employees attend a political rally even if you DON'T pay them.
The mine was shut down so the entire companies management could attend, it would violate safety rules for the mine to remain open without management present

Irrelevant. If the mine is shut down then the miners get the day off. They should not be mandated to visit a political event in their time off.
 
Cecilia posted a link already to a story about how Romney got bailed out by the Federal Govt. I can't remember where she posted that right now, but Matt Taibbi has a new article out in Rolling Stone that outlines the scam by which Romney "made" the money that he wasn't given by his dad.
Basically he ran up debts and dumped them on other people. Read about it.

Having taken over businesses to suck them dry, he has now taken over the GOP and if he manages to take over the US presidency how much debt will he leave everyone else with just to divert more money to himself and his buddies? Don't expect to see the debt clock rolling backwards if Mitt gets in.
 
Mitt Romney continues to shoot himself in the foot. It may or may not be the case that the "Liberal" media is out to get him (not that he isn't a liberal) but he seems to be making the job easy for them. Then again - it's not the MSM that is sniping him the most effectively. It seems to start in the new media, the web media and get picked up later.

Looks like plenty of video has leaked from that Romney dinner - cameras are tiny and everywhere these days.

That must be quite the dilemma for Red. A vote for Romney is like a vote for Monsanto. What's it gonna be Red?
 
I hope Mitt doesn't try to pass any laws based on his perception about what's wrong with airplane windows!
