Tracking the Jussie Smollett hate crime hoax

The Liberal Media were just begging, literally, for this story to be true. This is how sick in the head these people are.

I doubted Jussie Smollett. It breaks my heart that I might be right.

If Smollett’s story is found to be untrue, it will cause irreparable damage to the communities most affected. Smollett would be the first example skeptics cite when they say we should be dubious of victims who step forward to share their experiences of racist hate crimes or sexual violence. The incident would be touted as proof that there is a leftist conspiracy to cast Trump supporters as violent, murderous racists. It would be the very embodiment of “fake news.”

And that reason, more than any other, is why I need this story to be true, despite its ugliness and despite what it would say about the danger of the world I live in. The damage done would be too deep and long-lasting. This could be one tragedy that the Lyon family — and more importantly, the ordinary people who loved the show and invested in Smollett and his character — could never overcome.

The site is down, probably due to overwhelming traffic. I linked to a cached version above. Faking a hate crime can be very profitable if you are in the right minority group, and you are competent enough to pull it off.

No, only straight white men, and occasionally straight white women are held accountable for dangerous criminal behavior! Hell, sometimes they are tar & feathered for fake reasons! A gay black man? No no no! As long as it was not an attack on someone above him on the progressive stack, he's safe! If he's attacking someone below him? It's their fault, not his!

There was an edginess to the noose motif when I was a kid - because it was dark - but we also lived closer to the time of capital punishment (still happens in some countries). But here the complaint is that suicide isn't fashion. I wasn't expecting that, because the last few noose stories I've read have all claimed that the noose is actually a racist thing.

If it happened against a black person IN THE USA at any time in history, it has to be banned forever. Even imagery that is.

To be clear, a noose imagery specifically I'll give them a pass here in the US. The Klan in the 20th Century were a terrorist organization, so some memories are not multi generation old.

But it doesn't stop there. The "Confederate Flag" they do the same with. The US flag itself has been under attack too, even though flags are not weapons or even images of oppression.
 

This is the least of his problems at this point. Him sending death threats and white powder to himself (mail fraud at the least) through the United States Postal Service may put him away for life.
